At the Cross

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

--------------------------------------------SPRING----------------------------------------------

I LOVE spring.  The weather starts getting warm and there is refreshing rain, but what I LOVE the most is watching the earth sing a new song.  The baby animals are all born, the trees are all blooming, and the plants emerge from the earth.  It's a beautiful reminder that He makes all things new...in His time...in His way!  I LOVE that!

She Decided to Sparkle

I love Pinterest!  Last week, I pinned this DIY project on how to make your own canvases.

This weekend, I tried it.  This canvas is made from a re-purposed white Christmas box and newspaper.  I cut down the box to the size I wanted it, then basically paper-mached it into a canvas.  It was a great process and I loved that my canvas already had so much texture on it before I started painting.

Here are a few pictures of the canvas detail.

A few fun pages

An Art Journal in the Making

All of the covers made in my recent "behind the art" series are in the process of being turned into art journals.  Today I'm showing just a few of the special inserts for the journals.  These were so much fun to make.  I am challenging myself to try new techniques and use some products that I have been collecting.

Gesso...who knew this stuff could be used for so many things!

Stencils!  Ohhhhhhh! How I LOVE stencils!

New roller stamps and UTEE!  I LOVE this stuff!  So many cool techniques.

UTEE with a stamp pad rubbed over it.

A re-purposed old street map.

At the Cross

Luke 12:33-34

Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Have a blessed week.
