Memorial Day

Thank you!

If you have ever been to Arlington, you know the awe-inspiring sight of all the fallen soldiers that have been laid to rest for our freedom.

I am so proud to have a father and a brother who have served our country.

Being an American is a wonderful privilege...that all too often we take for granted!  All you have to do is travel to a Third World country on a mission trip one time to see this reality!  I am PROUD to be an American.  I salute all of the families that had heroes that did not come home.  May God bless you abundantly and hold you in the palm of His mighty hand today!

Happy Mother's Day

This little girl has been such a blessing to me!

I'm not sure how I got so lucky to be her momma!  It is a gift I treasure everyday!

This amazing lady is my mother!  She has taught me so much..AND truly...she is the one who encourages my art journey the most!  After a very rough life experience two years ago, she encouraged me to paint, to sew, to do anything creative...to heal!  I am so blessed that she did!

This is my grandma!  She will be 95 years young on May 15th!  My fondest childhood memories are of staying with her and my grandpa.  We would pick berries, shuck corn, make homemade ice-cream, and ride the tractor around the pasture.  WOW!  It has been 25 years since my grandpa passed away...but those memories take me back...like it was yesterday!

Proverbs 31:29-30
Many woman do noble things, but you surpass them all.  Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Treasure EVERY moment! You never know when it will be your last!
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

It takes courage to bloom when your life is full of trials.

This girl had the courage to do it anyway!

Mixed Media - Pendants and Houses

I spent the ENTIRE weekend in my studio!

Ohhhhh!  I have missed being down there!

Here are the new charms I made.  I have a little show today!  What doesn't sell will be listed this weekend on Etsy.

I also made some miniature mixed media houses and turned them into key chains!

I love how they turned out!

A Casanova Birthday

I also had another sweet surprise on my birthday!

Cassie's girlfriend that came with us for the weekend lives on several acres of land.  Her family owns horses.  One of their horses had a little colt on my birthday.

This is Casanova! He is only 18 hours old.

Isn't he sweet!

Birthday in Branson

Wow!  April just flew by!
April is always a busy, busy month for me.
Track starts at school, it's my birthday month, and life just gets busy!

I have been missing my studio time and blogging my creative life!

So...this week...it's time to play catch-up!

My parents surprised me with a weekend getaway for my birthday!

Here are a few highlights!

At the Cross

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Have a blessed day!
